Cairn Cross Bogie Rotator Benefits

  • Manual Operation: Our rotating device is powered by a hand-operated geared crank handle, which allows for precise control and safe operation by a single technician
  • Full 360° Rotation: This enables complete access to all parts of the bogie for maintenance, inspection, and repair activities.
  • Mobility: The system is designed with integrated casters for easy movement around the maintenance depot. This allows technicians to position the bogie rotator wherever it’s needed, improving efficiency and workflow.
  • Adaptability: The mechanism can be adapted to accommodate various bogie frame designs, offering a versatile solution for different types of rolling stock. Alternatively, these can be bespoke and custom built to fit your requirements.

Mobile Bogie Rotator

Our mobile bogie rotator systems are engineered for optimal performance and ease of use. Specifically, integrated heavy-duty casters allow for smooth and effortless movement across a variety of surfaces within your rail depot. As a result, you can quickly and easily position the rotator for any maintenance procedure.

Furthermore, after the bogie is positioned, typically by crane, the mobile system allows you to quickly relocate it to different areas of your depot for various maintenance tasks.
