Cairn Cross employees plant trees in Leeds

In December 2023, two of our dedicated employees went tree planting. They were able to utilise our volunteering day employee benefit. This new benefit is an integral part of our commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals.

This benefit empowers our team members to take time out of their workday to make a positive impact within the local community. On this occasion, they chose to plant trees in North Leeds, allowing them to see firsthand how our financial donation was being used.

Community Engagement

Throughout 2023, we donated 100 trees to Leeds Park, including dedicating volunteering time to plant the saplings grown by their nurseries. This initiative reflects our commitment to directly reinvesting in our local supply chain in Leeds and supporting the council’s mission of expanding green spaces through strategic tree planting. By doing so, we align our business practices with broader community and environmental goals, reinforcing our social responsibility.

Our company has made a long-term commitment to plant 100 trees annually, embodying our dedication to reducing and offsetting our carbon footprint wherever possible.
