Cairn Cross supports Kirklees-based Santa’s Seniors
It’s a wrap! Cairn Cross continues to deliver our festive spirit with team members donating unwanted or unused gifts to a local charity, Santa’s Seniors.

Cairn Cross Santa’s Seniors
Santa’s Seniors is a Kirklees-based community-led project which annually organises and donates gifts to elderly and vulnerable citizens who may not get something to open in the festive season. Spontaneously started in 2016 by Suzanne and her two daughters, Amy and Lizzie, the seasonal effort has since become a phenomenal success, with over 300 gift trios being sent out to people last year.
The project relies on donations from the public (called Gift Angels) and local businesses to support their efforts. Each gift contains three items; the main gift and two smaller supporting presents, such as chocolates or a candle. To gather the contributions, it holds regular collections and drop-offs to receive donations such as toiletries, confectionery, clothing, books and jewellery. All the presents get wrapped up before being delivered to residential care homes, home care providers, voluntary groups and council programmes.
Rob Lockwood, Commercial Director at Cairn Cross, shares, ‘it is vital this time of year to help the community and ensure everyone has something to look forward to. At Cairn Cross, we are highly committed to our People core value which sets out to help our local region and create a positive environment in which we operate. We believe that Santa’s Seniors is a shining beacon of what this represents and align with our values here at Cairn Cross’.
