Installation of CET modules and train carriage wash facility for East Coast Mainline in Portobello, Edinburgh
The Challenge
East Coast Mainline required a new carriage wash structure and CET modules to be installed along the depot roads. This would require water, electrical and safety works to be carried out while keeping the depot operational.
The Solution
The works include supplying water, pipework and electrical facilities to a pumping station through new trenches. New concrete footpaths with LED bollards were formed and installed along three roads.
The Result
Delivered within a tight deadline, the carriage wash and CET modules now offer East Coast Mainline more maintenance facilities to manage their growing rolling stock fleet.
