Vacancy – Planning Manager

Job Specification

Cairn Cross is looking for an ambitious Planning Manager to join our growing team and begin or further their career in the civil engineering industry. You will oversee and implement programming for our tender and live project requirements. You will join an enthusiastic and driven team supporting your career development.

Accountabilities

  • Support site manager with measurable, realistic and tangible project programmes
  • Develop and maintain site-specific TARGET programme
  • Develop and maintain site-specific as-built programmes
  • Routinely update site programme progress
  • Routinely report to the directors the site’s progress and early warnings
  • Routinely meet with the commercial and procurement team to report progress
  • Develop and maintain site-specific procurement and design programmes
  • Monitor, update and report project critical items
  • Support the operations manager in finding efficiencies in working & targeting early completion
  • Support the site manager with short-term programming
  • Monitor and support site managers to review task mapping, labour, plant, and material requirements and alignment with the programme
  • Develop and maintain company master project overview (live, planned and pole position contracts)
  • Maintain and distribute the weekly individual project RAG report to the directors
  • Develop Tender programmes
  • Review Tender sub-contract programmes

The Person

  • Computer literate and proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 project planning software
  • Must be a hardworking individual who is willing to learn
  • Must have effective written and verbal communication
  • Some experience in the industry at some level would be beneficial
  • Should be able to focus on attention to detail
  • Must be able to manage their time efficiently

  • Location: Morley, Leeds
  • Hours: 08:00am – 17:00pm
  • Contract: Full-time/Permanent
  • Salary: Competitive based on experience
