Cairn Cross take part in the Wenlock Triathlon

Cairn Cross Director Completes the Wenlock Olympic Games Triathlon

Cairn Cross Technical Director, Ian Bald, took part in the 132nd Wenlock Olympic Games 2018, resulting in a personal best for the Wenlock Triathlon.

The 28th running of the Wenlock Triathlon took place on Sunday 8th July. The event consisted of a 500m swim in the Much Wenlock leisure centre, a 19km bike ride from Much Wenlock through Buildwas, Leighton, Cressage and Sheinton, and a 7km run through trails and roads to Wyke before finally finishing on the Gaskell field in Much Wenlock.

Ian Bald commented: “It was a great race and a lot of fun. I completed the course in 1 hour 59 minutes and 30 seconds, which is a personal best”.
